Good (Maybe) Morning!

Good (Maybe) Morning!

Is it? I mean, there are so many things happening in our lives that have to be dealt with, grieved over, lamented, and gone through. The kids are sick, the bills need to be paid, your husband can't find his keys (or wallet, or ipod, or cell),  the dog needs shots. Possibly, your parents could be ailing, or you may be giving them care, as well. No doubt, you may feel overwhelmed with the mountain of activities you must deal with on a daily basis. So, the question is: Is it REALLY a good morning?

I submit to you the following eye-opening statement: Yes, it is. You may not feel like it now, but it is. Consider this: around the world, there are women dealing with shootings in their backyards, husbands dead from AIDS, children starving, daughters being raped and mutilated, sons being stolen to march in armies bound to exterminate entire races of people, and countries without governments. Women are forcibly sterilized and/or forced to abort babies if they dare to get pregnant after having a child already. Millions upon millions of women go through their entire life without a drink of soda pop or coffee, without looking at a tv or computer, without any of the comforts we take for granted each and every day.  And the saddest fact of all is that many of them go through all of this without the love of Jesus to give them any sort of hope, because, due to a bad economy (or lack of faith),  we are not sending enough missionaries to reach all of the lost in the world.

Meanwhile,  we sit in comfort, reading blogs and drinking coffee, as they are going through hell on earth, with no hope.

So, I ask you, is it a good morning? If your answer is still no, consider this:

Job said13:15 Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face

Paul saidRomans 15:13  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

And in the end, Jesus said:

Matthew 28:19-20-Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you...

Be encouraged-life is tough, but we have one on our side who gives us hope. It is, truly, a good morning!
